Fall/Winter 2023 Bridal Collection
Examining my childhood for inspiration felt like a natural starting point for my debut collection. I looked to both ballet and equestrian attire to inform the silhouettes and details. I began dancing at the age of three, continuing throughout my childhood. I began riding horses even before I began dancing. The attire from both activities was something I was always drawn to. Wearing these very tailored jackets and breeches gave me an appreciation for quality construction that is built to last and I've always loved the elegance and femininity of ballet costumes. I find myself often returning to these two points of reference when designing- this juxtaposition of themes that are traditionally very feminine paired with themes that are traditionally masculine is really intriguing to me. It presents an opportunity to explore different facets of myself as a person and designer, as they’re both strong qualities of who I am.
For Fall/Winter 2023 Bridal, I explored intricate beadings and embellishments which were all handcrafted in India. Designing for all events leading up to the wedding, there are pieces for every bride in search of something whimsical and timeless.
